Congratulations on the birth of your precious child, a great reason for thanksgiving and celebration. We would be delighted to join you in celebrating and giving thanks to God for your baby or older child if they have not already been baptised.
If you approach us about a baptism (christening), first we welcome you to a Sunday service when we will thank God for your child, recognise their chosen names and ask God to bless you all as a family.

Blessing means asking God to protect and care for you and to show you his love. You can invite family members and friends and ask people you trust to be special supporters of your child and we will pray for them too. You may want to have a party afterwards. Baptism asks parents to make some very serious promises that need careful thought over a period of time.
We will create a public record of the date of your child’s thanksgiving service for display in the church, in honour of this important life event.
