Advent and Christmas 2023

Join us to prepare ourselves to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Scroll down to find about the book many of us are reading, our special advent events in church and in the pub! together with our Christmas services of traditional readings and carols and some maybe not quite so traditional. Everyone is welcome whether you normally come to church or not and don’t worry about not being able to sing – the Bible asks us to make a joyful noise.

Individually many of us are reading the book An Advent Manifesto
by Martyn Percy (pub BRF) helping us to understand more of how the
light and hope Jesus brings can help is what often seems a very dark world. Click on the title for a link to be able to buy your own copy from the publisher.

Come to Spittal on the 10th and you’ll find us in the Blenheim pub, maybe with a beer, maybe with a G&T or a coke (as in the drink) and listen or even better, sing carols with us.

For just one night we have the talented musicians who are Celtish performing their very special Christmas concert in Tweemouth Parish. With thought-provoking songs on the theme of Christmas, the concert is free to attend although we suggest a donation of £5 to cover costs. Mulled wine and refreshments will be served.
